Great little engine and a great price

Well crafted and surprisingly lightweight. The RCGF 20cc feels lighter the my DLE 20cc.

So far so good. Still breaking in the engine but it runs and idles well. I had to manually prime the carburetor with a squirt of fuel from my fueler at the first start up to get the carb innards wet, sealed and drawing fuel from the tank nicely. Choke draws fuel from the tank nicely after that technique that I’ve used for years with a new engine.

Great price! I haven’t ran this exact engine yet, but I have run the rcgf’s before and have been very pleased with them. That’s why I bought this one.

So far it has been a great little engine. I am giving it a 4 because it only gets up to a little more than 7500 RPM with a 14×10 prop Wide Open Throttle. I’ve leaned out the mixture as much as I can (HSN is all the way down). I expect it will get better as it breaks in. Perhaps the pitch is too much. I plan to try a 15×8 prop next. Hopefully it will do better. Remember that you need a 6V battery for the new RC-EXCEL units. Service was excellent and friendly.

    The price was right

Ran the engine some more. It turned out that I had tuned it all wrong previously. Fixed the tuning and tried again today. I now get an RPM of about 9200 with a 14×10 wood propeller. Excellent! Changed my review from 4 star to 5.
