    Not the greatest mufflers.

Received with good size hole in the box, checked contents and luckily found no damage at point of hole. Did find mufflers that don’t look anything like the 70cc pictured. Maybe I received old style mufflers. The mufflers were put in the box to bounce around the engine more like a wind chime Lol! Putting each in a bag and taping the bag down would be better. The drill guide I ordered was also put in this engine box to clank away with the mufflers, good thing the engine was in its own bag for protection. All in all not as bad as I have seen, I will order more engines from RCGF. They did ship in a timely manner. I will review the engine performance later. Thanks!

I have this engine on a Pilot 31% Extra 330SC and it performs great! Had an issue early on getting it to run on both cylinders. Increased ignition voltage from 5.0 V to 6.0 or 6.6 V and it starts and runs great. It does flood easily and takes a bit of run up to clear both cylinders. Love that the plugs are canted to fit inside most cowls whereas another well known engine with straight out plugs does not fit some cowls. Long term reliability yet to be determined but so far I am ecstatic!
PS: Mine is the Valley View RC version, as near as I can tell they are the same.

This is a great engine. Getting around 7000 rpm with a Falcon 24/8 prop and around 6900 on the Falcon 24/9 prop. That is with around a gallon of fuel through it. Runs better every tank.
After a couple of gallons of gas the engine really starts to smooth out and run clean. Very smooth running at all throttle settings and doesn’t seem to have the mid range burble (or very little) that a lot of these engines have.
Very good transition from a low 1200 rpm idle on up as fast as you can open the butterfly to the carb.
The stock factory recommended needles settings got it up and running right away for me at around 800ft altitude.
Choke the engine, flip it a few times till it fires, open the choke with just a little bit of throttle and it fires right up.
The slanted front of the mufflers are a nice touch to help clear smaller cowls too. I did replace the original spark plugs with NGK but I never did actually try the original plugs.
The ignition works well on straight 2s lipo power.
Fit and finish on the engine is excellent also.
I pulled the carb and reeds out and everything looked great from the factory, engine had lube in it and nothing at all looked weird or out of place.
Overall, no complaints at all. Very good performance and quality for the money.
And the best part, it comes with a big ol sticker for the cowl.

Wanted to add to my review.
My engine came very well packaged, everything inside was wrapped and packaged well.
I did flip the carburetor around to make the linkage line up better with the throttle servo. If you do this, make sure that you also flip the reed cage or at least the first plate so the pulse port hole lines up with the one in the carb so that the carb vacuum pump will still work.
My engine also came with mufflers that had a slanted front to them to help clear cowls. The pictures on the website show a non-slanted version.
When mounting the mufflers on these engines I don’t use the muffler gaskets, instead I use just a very thin coat of red high temp rvt silicon on the mating surfaces, a little red locktite on the threads, and some nordlock washers on the bolts. Double check the bolts after the first couple of heat cycles and have never had them come loose in flight.
