Q & A
Hi, I hope you are doing well, I bought last year by AliExppress one 15cc RE engine but I missed the Opperation Manual, I would like if you could send me to my mail to know what kind and measure of gasket and screws muffler I need to buy in Mexico

Great product and even better service.
Great engine, and even greater customer service! Whenever I called Joe, he promptly returned my calls, and spent considerable amount of time on the phone. Who does this kind of service these days?? Thank you, Joe, and thanks for a great engine. You have a life-long customer. I will order from you guys again :-))
Called with questions, answered promptly with fast shipping. Would order from them again.
excellent
I bought the Stinger 15RE engine for my my Sig Four Star 60 to replace an old Hobby King 15cc engine for which I cannot get parts. RCGF-USA shipped the next day and UPS Ground got it to me in a week. So far, I have only run the engine for an hour on a test stand in a series of short runs to break it in. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the engine came with an Iridium spark plug, which has worked great so far. Although the compression seems relatively low, the engine hand-started easily and an electric starter has not been used. I am doing the initial break-in with LawnBoy oil at 30:1 as recommended for the first gallon. After an hour of runing time, I started gradually leaning out the needle valve settings and adjusting the idle stop. The tachometer running off the ignition module showed 9,020 rpm sustained with occasional blips to 9,190 rpm using an APC 15×6 break-in propeller. This pretty well substantiates the RCGF ads claiming 9,000 rpm on this propeller. The APC web site states the APC 15×6 propeller should produce 11.2 pounds of thrust at 9,000 rpm static near sea level. I expect that 9,200 rpm should be achievable once break-in is complete and I switch to 40:1 RedLine oils. The idle is good at 1,900 rpm, but I will probably set it for 2,000 rpm until it has several hours of running time. Hot and cold hand restarts have been easy. The only issue so far is that Blue LockTite is insufficient to keep the muffler screws from coming loose. When I mount the engine on the airplane, I will use Red RTV silicone on the screws and gasket.
The old Hobby King 15cc engine turned the same APC 15×6 prop at 8,400 rpm and could only provide a 4 to 5 second vertical on my 8 pound 12 oz Four Star 60. I look forward to installing the Stinger 15RE, as it’s additional 800 rpm should provide unlimited vertical performance.
The physical dimensions are also fairly close to those of the Stinger 20RE, but are just enough different on the mounting bolt spacing to preclude direct engine swaps between the two. The 15RE is also slightly shorter in height than the 20RE, as expected. The 15RE weighs 1.69 pounds and the 20RE weighs 1.75 pounds. If the 15RE fits your plane but you need more power, then the 20RE may be a possibility if the engine mounts are changed out.
Overall, I am quite pleased with the engine.
